Damage Assessment and Fault Analysis of Subway Pantographs
As an important component of the subway train power supply system,the pantograph takes elec-tricity from the contact network to supply power to the main traction and high-voltage equipment of the subway train.This article introduces the working principle of the pantograph lifting and lowering system,analyzes and judges the bending of the shaft,cracking of the carbon sliding plate,and arcing faults that occur during the line opening stage of the pantograph.After on-site investigation and analysis of the monitoring data of the panto-graph,it is believed that the main cause is the excessive hard point impact,which leads to the missing and bro-ken carbon sliding plate,thereby deteriorating the relationship between the pantograph and the catenary.After analysis,suggestions for improving the matching of pantographs and overhead lines were proposed,which solved this type of fault,reduced the probability of pantograph failure during operation,and improved the safety per-formance of train operation.
