Effect of Two Stage Turbocharger on Combustion and Emission for Diesel Engines
Based on the original single-stage supercharged diesel engine, the 2TC1 and 2TC2 two-stage turbo-charger system is matched, and the flow range and efficiency zone of the 2TC2 high-pressure compressor are greater than 2TC1.Compared with the single-stage turbocharger system,The pressure of the two-stage turbo-charger system is higher at TDC,that can significantly increase the combustion rate, shorten the combustion du-ration,reduce the diffusion combustion ratio, and thus reduce the exhaust temperature. The two-stage turbo-charger system can significantly improve the air-fuel ratio and intake flow of the diesel engine, thereby improving the torque capacity of the middle and low speed, and effectively improving the fuel consumption of the middle and low speed. The high air-fuel ratio of 2TC1 and 2TC2 makes the combustion more full, especially the smoke gen-eration is low.At 900rpm,the smoke of the single-stage supercharging system is 1.5 FSN,and the smoke of 2TC1 and 2TC2 is only 0.1 FSN.
