Exploration of Fatigue Test Design for Engine Crankshaft Based on Bending Fatigue Test
In order to improve the stability and reliability of the engine crankshaft components,a certain auto-mobile engine crankshaft was taken as the test object, and it was divided into multiple single crank specimens. The electromagnetic resonance loading method and the electro-hydraulic servo loading method were respectively used for bending fatigue testing. The experimental results show that the electro-hydraulic servo loading method has a more reasonable and accurate control of bending moment; The electromagnetic resonance loading method can effectively shorten the testing time and reduce the testing cost; The fatigue limit values obtained under differ-ent testing methods are not the same, and a suitable testing method should be selected based on the purpose of crankshaft testing; The failure mode of the crankshaft under both test methods is fracture at the roller groove of the connecting rod neck. From this,it can be concluded that the deviation amplitude of the fatigue limit values obtained by the two loading methods is 4.4%;The weakest part of the engine crankshaft components is at the roller groove of the connecting rod journal.
