A Troubleshooting Example of a Dual Fuel Diesel Engine with Low Insulation Resulting in Failure to Convert Gas Model
There are many reasons for the failure of Marine dual-fuel diesel engines in the process of gas mode conver-sion.For example, generator pilot fuel press reference deviation high may lead to gas trip;generator knock status cylinder may lead to gas trip;generator illegal fuel mode selection can also result in failure of gas trip.In addition, the main gas pres-sure establishment time is too long, the gas quality is poor, the opening time of the gas valve reaches the set value, the gas volume is insufficient and other factors may also affect the normal conversion process. Moreover, waste gas valve failure can also cause such problems. This paper introduces a case of a dual fuel diesel engine whose gas admission insulation is low,re-sulting in failure to convert gas model.Through the unremitting efforts and research of the Marine engineers, this problem has been successfully solved, which provides a valuable reference for the troubleshooting of dual-fuel diesel engines.
