Low Cycle Fatigue Life Analysis of Engine Cylinder Head
Due to the periodic change of temperature load,the cylinder head produces large plastic deforma-tion,which leads to the low-cycle fatigue failure of the cylinder head.Based on the finite element method,this paper carries out accurate transient temperature field analysis of the low-cycle cycle of the engine,and compares it with the measured temperature field.The influence of temperature change on low cycle fatigue life of engine cylinder head is studied,the weak area is found out and the optimization scheme is put forward.After research,it was found that the low cycle life of the chamfer position of the cylinder head water jacket is at greater risk,mainly due to the small fillet size,and the overall fatigue life can be improved by increasing the fillet size.
