Analysis And Improvement of Abrupt Torsional Vibration of Camshaft of A V6 Engine
Aiming at the problem of transmission chain fracture in a V6 engine running at the pump speed ra-tio of 4:3,the engine speed fluctuation and torsional vibration test are carried out.It is found that the right cam-shaft has a speed surge and a 4th order torsional vibration mutation in the process of full load acceleration of the engine. In order to solve the problem of torsional vibration surge of the right camshaft, the oil pump speed ratio was changed to 10:9,and the engine speed fluctuation and torsional vibration were tested again for comparative analysis. The results showed that:The rotational speed fluctuation and torsional vibration of the oil pump drive gear and the right exhaust camshaft are similar to some extent. After the change of the oil pump speed ratio, the rotational speed fluctuation and torsional vibration of the right camshaft of the engine have no sudden change, and the rotational speed fluctuation decreases from 52.6%to 20.7%,and the torsional vibration of the camshaft reaches the maximum value at the 3.3 level. The maximum torsional vibration Angle is reduced from 1.57 de-grees to 0.506 degrees, and the rotational speed fluctuation and torsional vibration are obviously improved, which provides a solution to the problem of rotational speed fluctuation and torsional vibration surge of the right camshaft.
