Overcurrent Leading to Fuse Burnout Case Analysis
This article addresses the issue of fuse burnout in the power unit of an overspeed protection module.It measures the start-up inrush current waveforms under different power-on methods.The mechanism of fuse burnout is an-alyzed from aspects such as voltage and current.The article proposes an analysis method for fuse burnout caused by over-current in the overspeed protection module,considering both transient energy and steady-state current.It analyzes the mechanisms of different surface-mount fuses and compares them with the measured inrush current waveforms.This method guides the selection of fuses in circuit design,improving the fault tolerance of the product.
