The Influence of The Blade Wrap Angle of Marine Centrifugal Compressors on Aerodynamic Performance
As the core component of the centrifugal compressor, the impeller plays a crucial role in the overall aerodynamic performance of the compressor. To study the influence of the impeller structure on the aerodynamic performance of the centrifugal compressor, this paper takes the centrifugal compressor of the marine turbocharg-er as the research object.By adjusting the size of the blade leading edge, rim, and hub side blade wrap angle, the deflection of the blade to its own pressure and suction surfaces is achieved.Based on the SST turbulence model, numerical calculations are carried out on the aerodynamic performance and flow field structure of the compressor. The results show that compared to the deflection on the hub side, the aerodynamic performance of the compres-sor is more sensitive to the deflection on the rim side.A certain degree of deflection on the rim side can improve the internal flow field of the compressor by reducing the shock wave loss at the leading edge of the blade and weakening the dynamic-static interference effect, thereby enhancing the overall aerodynamic performance of the compressor and reducing the aerodynamic noise of the compressor to a certain extent.
