Failure Cause Analysis of The Fracture of The Front Cover of The Diesel Engine Oil Pump
There have been multiple incidents in the market where the front cover plate of the diesel engine oil pump has broken,affecting the normal operation of the diesel engine lubrication system and leading to malignant faults such as engine cylinder pulling and bearing failure,in view of the fracture fault of the front cover plate of the oil pump,this paper comprehensively and systematically combs the material defects,material strength,en-gine assembly,and oil pump structure design.Combined with specific market failure cases,the causes and mech-anisms of the fracture of the front cover of the oil pump are revealed through the dimensions of material investi-gation,finite element calculation and analysis,assembly cause investigation,modal test,etc.,and the relatively systematic and comprehensive fault analysis ideas and methods are given,and the corresponding improvement measures are proposed to provide reference for the optimization of the structure of the oil pump.
