Study on Performance and Energy Efficiency Assessment of Internal Combustion Locomotives under Different Operating Conditions
With the increasing requirements of railroad transportation on environmental impact and energy efficiency,the performance of internal combustion locomotives and their adaptability under different operat-ing conditions and energy efficiency assessment have become an important direction of research.In this stud-y,the performance of internal combustion locomotives under different operating conditions,such as climate change,power demand change,travel speed and direction change demand,is deeply analyzed.Through a comprehensive assessment of the adaptability of the hydraulic and electric drivetrain,the application of su-percharging system,the efficiency of the drivetrain,and the fuel efficiency,this paper reveals the advanta-ges of internal combustion locomotives in extreme environments and efficient operation.The use of advanced supercharging technologies and electric drivetrains can significantly improve the thermal and overall energy efficiency of internal combustion locomotives.In addition,the application of adaptive design and environ-mentally friendly technologies not only improves the economy of locomotives,but also helps to reduce envi-ronmental pollution.
