Experimental Analysis on Improvement of Intake Performance by Structural Optimization of Engine Air Filter Element
This study analyzes a new type of automotive air filter structure, which integrates a broadband muffler with a resonant cavity design, improving the intake efficiency and reducing noise levels.Experiments show that the new filter's air intake flow rate has increased by 15%-20%,while the noise level has been reduced by 25 dB,particularly with significant noise reduction in the medium and low frequency ranges. The study also explores directions for further optimization of the design of the filter, including further enhancement of the filter element material, optimization of the sound-absorbing structure, and lightweight design of the housing. For practical applications across various vehicle types, the new filter's promotion prospects in SUVs,commercial ve-hicles,and other models have been verified. This article provides data support and technical reference for the im-provement design of automotive air filter structures, which helps to promote further development in air filtration technology.
