Design Difficulties and Response Strategies for Small-Scale Methanol Supply Systems Based on Internal Combustion Engine Enterprises
As a renewable and green fuel, methanol has broad application prospects, but the design and im-plementation of small-scale methanol supply systems still lack guiding practices at present.Taking the methanol supply system engineering project of the internal combustion engine enterprise test bench as an example, this ar-ticle explains the difficulties faced by the methanol fuel supply system in the implementation process of the indus-try,including the special requirements of the physical and chemical characteristics of methanol on the system, safety risks such as corrosion swelling, leakage, and explosion that need to be focused on,as well as the current imperfect regulatory standards. The project aims to provide a reasonable supply process, optimize transportation processes, select suitable corrosion-resistant and swelling resistant materials, and develop a fire safety strategy for methanol fuel that is suitable for the enterprise. It systematically solves technical and safety application prob-lems to ensure the safe, economical, and environmentally friendly operation of the methanol fuel supply system in internal combustion engine enterprises.
