With the rapid development of the railway transportation industry,diesel locomotives have taken a pivotal position in the railway transportation system,and their safety and stability have increasingly become a fo-cal point of public attention.In particular,the DF4 type diesel locomotive,which is widely used in our country,plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe operation of the locomotive and preventing fire accidents through the de-sign and application of its fire extinguishing system.Based on previous research findings,this paper further ex-plores the strategies for the installation and application of the fire extinguishing system of the DF4 type diesel lo-comotive,aiming to provide solid theoretical support and practical guidance for enhancing the safety performance of diesel locomotives through dual exploration of theory and practice,thereby ensuring the smoothness and safety of railway transportation.
