Taking six typical open-plan office buildings in Xi'an as the research object,a field investigation is carried out by means of thermal environment parameter test and subjective questionnaire survey.The thermal comfort needs of personnel in the actual office buildings are analysed,and the investigation results are compared with the existing standards and the field studies in other climatic zones.The results show that the neutral temperature of the interviewees is 25.4 ℃ in the office buildings in Xi'an in summer,the preferred temperature is 0.2 ℃ lower than the neutral temperature,and the upper limit of 80％acceptable temperature is 28.2 ℃.
