Balancing air volume of VAV air conditioning systems
The variable air volume terminal units(VAV BOX)are the core component of the variable air volume air conditioning system.This paper introduces the methods of testing VAV terminal units and balancing duct network of a variable air volume air conditioning system equipped with pressure independent single duct VAV BOXs with the help of building automation system(BAS).The main work of unit testing for a VAV BOX is the air volume calibration of the VAV BOX,and the main work of duct network balancing is the opening adjusting of each manual damper.
