This paper presents two commonly used variable air volume modes for second-level biosafety laboratories with B2-type biosafety cabinets.Based on the characteristics of a laboratory project in the north city,by analysing the utilization rate of the biosafety cabinet,the minimum supply air volume in the laboratory,and the exhaust air volume of the biosafety cabinet,a comparison formula for the energy consumption of the two variable air volume modes is obtained,and the suitable variable air volume mode for the project is.selected.
