A simulation model of HVAC system with accurate performance is of great significance for studying building demand response.Model calibration is a key step in improving the reliability of simulation results, but the lack of operation strategy information will be encountered in reality, which seriously affects the effectiveness of calibration results. In this paper,a model calibration method suitable for the absence of actual operation strategy information is proposed. Before the equipment performance optimization calibration,an operation strategy verification step is added, and the Pearson correlation coefficient is used as the evaluation index to determine the accuracy of the operational strategy.By using this method, the accurate operational strategy datasets can be identified in the measured dataset, based on which the optimization calibration of equipment performance is carried out,to ensure the effectiveness of the calibration results.Taking the cooling tower model calibration of a refrigeration station as an example, the calibration effect of the proposed method is verified. This method can be extended to verify the number of operation units and calibrate the nominal performance parameters of other HVAC equipment models.
