Effects of Plant Growth Regulators on Rooting and Quality of Cut Chrysanthemum
An in vitro rooting test was carried out using 8 different varieties of Cut Chrysanthemum as experimental materials, and different botanical traits were observed during the seedling stage, vegetative growth stage, bud stage, and flowering stage of the various varieties. The quality characteristics of the cut Chrysanthemums were comprehensively evaluated using principal component analysis. The results showed that the rooting rates of Pink Dante and Pink Jiaren treated with 100 mg/L potassium indole butyrate(IBA)and 100 mg/L ABT(φ=50%)were the highest, both reaching 95.00%.The rooting rates of Yellow Buckle and Pink Jiaren were 100%in a substrate with a ratio of w(coconut husk)∶w(perlite)=3∶2.Apart from the seedling stage, there were significant differences in botanical traits among the different varieties of cut Chrysanthemums during the other stages.Considering the overall agronomic traits and principal component scores,Pink Jiaren,Xiao Jinxing and Pink Dante showed better performance.
