Measures for Watershed Management and Practice of High-Quality Development in the Yellow River Basin in Pengyang County,Ningxia
It analyzed and summarized the achievements of Pengyang County's watershed management,and proposed measures to consolidate the foundation for high-quality development in future watershed management.It suggests adopting a water-based approach and implementing water and soil conservation projects scientifically and accurately,and continuously improving the high-quality development model based on landforms,site conditions,and long-term planning.Water scarcity is the biggest bottleneck for Pengyang County's development,and it is necessary to effectively control the total water consumption.This paper proposes the scientific and rational selection of tree species for afforestation,determining afforestation density based on soil moisture and vegetation carrying capacity,and preventing excessive use and over-exploitation of water resources,on the basis of summary of the influencing factors,methods,and precautions of afforestation density in Pengyang County.
