Impact of Dynamic Changes in Grasslands on Ecosystem Service Value in Yanchi County
Grasslands serve various functions including production,habitation,and ecology,and human activities impacting grassland utilization inevitably cause changes in the ecosystem and affect the ecosystem service provision.Taking Yanchi County in Ningxia as the research area,this study quantitatively assesses the impact of dynamic changes in grasslands on ecosystem service value from 2000 to 2020 and reveals the response of ecosystem services to the changes.The results show that:①the grasslands showed an overall improving trend during the study period.The dynamic changes in grasslands were mainly characterized by positive succession between different coverage grasslands and between grasslands and non-grasslands,accounting for 14.32%and 9.78%of the total area of the county,respectively.②The impact of dynamic changes in grasslands on regional ecosystem service value of was mainly an increase.The changes in grasslands of different grades mainly led to service value increases,accounting for 60.21%of the total increase,while changes between grasslands and non-grasslands mainly led to decrease in service value,accounting for 79.13%of the total decrease.③There was a significant spatial heterogeneity in the changes of ecosystem service value caused by dynamic changes in grasslands in Yanchi County.The northwest part was the area where changes in grasslands of different coverage grades led to service value increases,while the southeast part was mainly characterized by service value increases due to changes between grasslands and non-grasslands,supplemented by service value decreases due to changes from non-grasslands to grasslands.The study reveals the impact of dynamic changes in grazing-banned grasslands on ecosystem services and their values,which has certain reference value for the management of grassland resources in the agro-pastoral ecotone.
