A Review of the Multifunctional Evolution of Rural Homesteads Under the Rural Revitalization Strategy
This review systematically sorts out the multifunctional types, transitions, and influencing factors of rural homesteads and analyzes the evolutionary path of rural homestead functions under the rural revitalization strategy.Against the background where farmers are no longer the sole beneficiaries of rural homesteads,it is appropriate to classify the functions of rural homesteads from the perspective of all members of society, including living functions, agricultural production functions,non-agricultural production functions, and natural education functions.Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, rural homesteads have undergone phases of basic functionality, functional transition, and functional diversification.Under the rural revitalization strategy, four types of villages-agglomeration and upgrading, suburban integration, characteristic conservation, and relocation and consolidation-will show significantly differentiated paths of multifunctional evolution.
