Tan sheep is an excellent local breed in China,known for its high-quality pelts and distinctive wool characteristics that emerge around 35 days after birth.This study reviews the composition,functional structure,mechanism of action,and binding characteristics of the transcription factor AP-1,along with the classification and expression characteristics of keratin.Additionally,it predicts the binding sites of AP-1 on the specific promoters of wool KRTs genes,providing valuable insights into the regulatory role of transcription factors in wool keratin gene expression.
