Effect of Staggered Sowing on the Growth,Yield and Quality of Isatis tinctoria in Solar Greenhouse
In order to investigate the influences of staggered sowing on the growth, yield, and quality of Isatis tinctoria in solar greenhouses,a randomized block experiment design was used to measure growth indicators during the seedling stage and after transplanting,as well as the yield and quality after transplanting, across different sowing dates. The results showed that with the postponement of the sowing date, the emergence time of I.tinctoria advanced accordingly, the total growing period first decreased and then increased, and the growth indicators of both the seedling stage and the plant generally showed a declining trend. The mass ratios of vitamin C,soluble sugar, and organic acids all decreased. The experiments concluded that the optimal sowing period for the facility cultivation of I.tinctoria in Ningxia is from mid-late April to mid-late May,and the best transplanting time is from early June to early July. The highest yield and the best economic benefit were achieved with the sowing treatment on May 20th.
