Rationalism and the Metaphysical Essence of Abstract Labor——on the Inner Connection between Marx,Hegel and Fichte
Revealing the metaphysical essence of abstract labor from the internal connection between Marxist philosophy and ra-tionalism has unique value in elucidating the contemporary nature of Marx's critical theory of capital.Rationalism refers to a way of thinking and social principles that are governed by reason, originating from Plato's theory of ideas and Descartes'phi-losophy of self reflection. Its connection with abstract labor is ultimately demonstrated in Hegel's principle of"entity is sub-ject".Abstract labor is the"value entity"of commodities, currency and capital,as well as the"subject"that governs and con-trols the production process, and thus constructs modern society.Marx's ontological critique of Hegel's self-awareness activi-ties and the movement of capital values reflects this connection.Tracing back from the history of thought, the inherent operat-ing mechanism of"absolute subject"was first reflected in Fichte's principles of knowledge science.Capital value not only"sets"oneself, but also achieves self movement by"setting"non ego based on oneself. In this sense, concrete labor,produc-tion processes and social relations in capitalist society are increasingly manifested as objectified products pre-set by abstract la-bor.
