Ethical Risks,Causes Analysis and Governance Suggestions of Smart Homes
With the development of emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things(IoT),artificial intelligence(AI)and big data(BD),traditional devices in the home have gradually been endowed with new technological architectures that enable them to perceive their surroundings and make automatic decisions,and smart home products are developing rapidly and gradual-ly entering common households.While relieving family members from heavy housework,smart devices may also bring ethical risks,such as sexism in the technology script,nihilism in the machine myth,de-leisureisation of family time,de-secretisa-tion of family space,and data colonialism in the Internet of Everything.The causes of smart home ethical risks analyzed based on the STS perspective arise from both the uncertainty of the smart technology's self-interest,and are manifested in the tech-nology's marketing and social environments,among others,as well as in the technology's audience.The benign development of smart home technology requires the construction of a governance system from technology development to use,covering multi-ple subjects such as the government,the market and society,to guide the smart home to better serve the well-being of human beings.
