Research on the Spatial-temporal Features and Dynamic Mechanism of Digital Inclusive Finance Development
This paper first uses the 2011-2020 Peking University Digital Inclusive Finance Index to explore spatial-temporal features of digital inclusive finance development in China,followed by using the Dagum Gini coefficient method to decompose the regional differences in digital inclusive finance de-velopment in the east,west and eight urban clusters,and conducts convergence tests on this basis.Finally,the Weaver-Thomas model is used to explore the core dynamic mechanism of digital in-clusive finance development in each province.Conclusions are as follows:(1)The overall,intra-regional and inter-regional differences in digital inclusive financial development are basically the same,with a trend of"steep decline-slow decline-slow rise".The differences and the magnitude of changes in each region differentiated by East-West are significantly larger than those differentiated by urban clusters.Regional differences are the main source of differences in the development of digital inclusive finance.(2)The development of digital inclusive finance shows typical σ-convergence and β-conver-gence characteristics,and the spatial spillover effect is obviously embedded in the development process of digital inclusive finance in China,making its development increasingly homogeneous.In terms of the speed of convergence,the western vegion is the fastest,then follows the central region,and the eastern region is the slowest,the speed is negatively correlated with the current level of digital inclusive finance development,the digital divide between regions is narrowing.(3)The study on the dynamic mechanism finds that there are four types of driving forces for the development of digital inclusive finance in China's provincial areas,and the driving forces in more than half of the regions maintain a high stability.The eastern region is mainly driven by innovation type,the central region is mainly driven by endogenous re-lease type,and the western region is mainly driven by market application type.
