Practical Difficulties and Realization Paths to Develop from Farmer Differentiation to Common Prosperity:A Vertical Case Study Based on Village Xing,Hubei Province
Abstrat:How to promote differentiated farmers to move towards common prosperity has become the difficulty and the key to realizing"common prosperity for all people".Based on a seven-year tracking survey in Village Xing,Hubei Province, this paper explores the driving factors of farmer differentiation and the realization paths of different classes of farmers towards common prosperity through longitudinal case studies. The study finds that, due to individual characteristics, social networks and random events, farmers have been divided into different classes with asynchronous stages of wealth and significant differences in their ability to become rich, and then deviated from the goal of common prosperity.Precise external policies can intervene in the drivers of farmer differentiation to promote the mobility of different classes of farmers to the rich class, but there are policy implementation biases in grassroots practice. In this regard, based on the objective reality of farmer differentiation in China, policy design should be based on the cultivation of human and social capital and the improvement of the social security system in order to positively intervene in the drivers of farmer differentiation, with a view to realizing the goal of common prosperity.
