Research on the Regional Differences and Spatial-temporal Evolution Characteristics of Common Prosperity Level of Farmers and Rural Areas in China
Common prosperity of farmers and rural areas,as an urgent and arduous task,scientific and reasonable interpretation of connotation,level measurement and feature analysis are crucial to pro-moting the process.Based on the data of 30 provinces from 2013 to 2021,and on the basis of clarifying the basic connotation of common prosperity of farmers and rural areas,this paper innovatively constructs an evaluation index system of common prosperity of farmers and rural areas that integrates"multi-di-mensional prosperity—common coordination—quality and efficiency enhancement—ecological liva-bility—harmony and peace—people's welfare".Using entropy method,Dagum Gini coefficient,ob-stacle degree model,Kernel density estimation,Moran's I and Markov model,the paper analyzes regional differences and spatial-temporal evolution characteristics of common prosperity level of farmers and rural areas in China.The study finds:(1)Within the sample period,the level of Common prosperity of farmers and rural areas in China is on the rise,the development level presents a distribution pattern of East＞Northeast＞Central＞West,and the speed of improvement shows a trend of catching up with West＞Northeast＞Central＞East.The levels of all dimensions have been improved.(2)During the sample period,overall regional differences shows a decreasing trend,with the differences between the eastern,central,western,northeastern regions being the key to regional differences.Among them,regional differ-ences in the dimension of harmony and peace are relatively large,regional differences in the dimension of multidimensional prosperity and harmony and peace shows an expanding trend.Further analysis shows that the dependence on foreign trade of agricultural products and agricultural products quality are the main obstacles at present.(3)The absolute difference in the development level of provinces in over-all and four major regions has expanded,different degrees of polarization characteristics appear in the eastern,central and western regions.The common prosperity level of provincial farmers and rural areas is more likely to shift upwards than downwards,and there are significant spatial clustering characteristics and spillover effects.The paper puts forward suggestions to solidly promote the common prosperity of farmers and rural areas.This paper provides a new perspective for the construction of an e-valuation index system of common prosperity of farmers and rural areas,and also provides a reference for promoting agricultural and rural modernization and improving farmers'living standards and quality.
