The Neo-endogenous Path of Transformation for Rural Agricultural Machinery Service Supply Models:A Case Study of Village Y in the Northwestern Plains of Shandong
In the context of Chinese agricultural modernization, the provision of agricultural ma-chinery services serves as an efficient means to integrate smallholder farmers into modern agriculture. Therefore,it is crucial to comprehend the development trajectory of rural agricultural machinery service supply modes. This study employs a single case embeddedness analysis method and integrates the per-spective of neo-endogenous development to examine the evolution of Village Y's agricultural machinery service supply mode. The findings reveal that local norms within close-knit communities reduce transac-tion costs for agricultural machinery services, leading to the emergence of an endogenous market for such services.Effective organizational integration and production process restructuring achieve economies of scale and efficient division of labor, resulting in a unified supply model through village community organizations.Furthermore, collaborative multi-agent relationships both within and outside the village enhance the sustainability of this agricultural machinery service model.By elucidating the neo-endogenous transformation path of rural agricultural machinery service supply modes, this study aims at revealing the mechanisms at work within the endogenous agricultural machinery service mar-ket.It affirms the role of village collectives in grassroots agricultural machinery service system, offering valuable insights for optimizing grassroots agricultural machinery social service system, and exploring the development direction of agricultural socialized service systems.
