Research on Present Situation and Governance Path of Rural Bride Price from the Perspective of New Marriage and Childbearing Culture:A Survey in the Central and Western Region of H Province
Fostering a new type of marriage and childbearing culture is an objective requirement for the high-quality devel-opment of the population in the new era.Bride price,as an important content of marriage and childbearing culture,affects the in-tention of marriage and childbearing of the age-appropriate groups to a certain extent.The problem of"high bride price"in rural areas is more prominent than that in urban areas,which has aroused widespread concern from all walks of life.In this paper,H province in the central and western region of China is selected as the analysis sample,and the attitudes of different groups to-wards bride price in rural areas in H Province are objectively presented through a large-scale questionnaire survey.Meanwhile,the current situation and existing problems of bride price governance in rural areas are measured through multiple quantitative indicators such as expected bride price,actual bride price and the bride price-dowry ratio.It is suggested that we should actively guide the changing of customs and cultivate a new type of marriage and childbearing culture,vigorously develop rural economy and promote regional coordinated development,improve public services for marriage and optimize the friendly environment for marriage and other suggestions.
