Modern newspapers and periodicals,as historical witnesses,have retained a large number of precious records about teahouses for us.This paper aims to excavate these rich materials and analyze the presentation of teahouse culture in mod-ern newspapers from the historical perspective.In view of form,the way of drinking tea in modern teahouses showed distinct re-gional characteristics,and there were significant differences in different regions and periods,reflecting the living habits and taste preferences of people in different regions.In terms of utensils,tea sets in teahouses were not only the embodiment of people's living habits and cultural traditions,but also a mirror of social history and culture,reflecting the social customs,economic condi-tions and material and cultural changes at that time.In terms of terminology,teahouse,as a specific place,had a unique way of communication.Through sorting out various teahouse terms,the unique charm and profound heritage of teahouse culture can be explored.In terms of practice,words and behaviors in the teahouse had their special significance,which was not only a way for people to share and exchange emotions,but also played a role in popularizing knowledge,moral education,public opinion super-vision and emotional connection.
