Modern tea literature in Yunnan Province covers the tea-related literature about Yunnan from 1840 to 1949.It includes tea related writings,local chronicles,customs reports,trade statistics and publications that had been published or archived during this period.Based on the compilation and analysis of tea-related literature published or archived in modern Yunnan on the cultivation and processing,transportation and trade,teahouse management,development and spread of tea cul-ture,etc.,this paper analyzes the types,compilation and publication situation,and the leading authors of modern tea literature of Yunnan Province.The essay also discusses the Yunnan tea planting areas,tea tree varieties,tea processing types,tea growing and making technology,tea transportation,tea industry economy and trade,etc.,covered in the literature.It explores the connec-tion with Yunnan's modern social,political,economic and cultural development.Study on modern Yunnan tea literature and the rise and fall of modern Yunnan tea industry and its historical experiences can provide theoretical and practical experience for the healthy development of Yunnan tea industry in the new era.
