Historical Retrospect and Prospect of Agricultural Regionalization Development in China
Agricultural regionalization,as an effective means for guiding agricultural production tailored to local conditions and reasonably allocating resources according to local conditions,is of great significance for optimizing factor utilization,revital-izing rural industries,and accelerating the modernization of agriculture and rural areas.In China,agricultural regionalization boasts profound historical foundation and development basis,which could be divided into three distinct stages based on the evo-lution of ideas,academic research,and practical experience,including the germination of early agricultural regionalization ideas and land use practices related to agriculture in ancient times,the inception and initial exploration of scientific agricultural re-gionalization in modern times,and the government's practical work and systematic construction after the founding of the Repub-lic of China.Currently,faced with the new changes of agricultural production resources environment and socio-economic condi-tion,the agricultural regionalization should keep pace with the times in the future,which involves focusing on global warming,changes in urban-rural geographical spatial patterns,the development of new agricultural production factors,the recycling uti-lization of agricultural waste resources,and the development of agricultural production organization way etal.,and do the efforts such as investigating the agricultural climate resources and identifying the crop maturity zones and agricultural climate belts,uti-lizing new digital information technologies and innovating the means and methods of agricultural regionalization,finding out the cultivated land resources and distinguishing the boundary of regional agricultural production,expanding the scope of work and enhancing the statistical division of agricultural waste resources,as well as adapting to large-scale production and paying atten-tion to agricultural mechanization regionalization research and so on.Such concerted efforts could provide forward-looking strategic support for the implementation of the national macro-agricultural development plans.
