Folk Contract Documents in Zuojiang River Basin of Guangxi Province From Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China:A Focus on Contracts of Hecun Village in the New Collection of Chongzuo Zhuang Museum
Hecun village contract,mainly white contract,is rich in transaction forms including live sales like direct pawn,transfer pawn and sublease,and permanent sales of highly formatted and regional characteristics.The main elements and pru-dent written expressions contained in the contract provide multiple secure guarantee mechanisms for both parties.Contracts of Hecun village reflect the characteristics of active land transactions and land differentiation within the scope of the village-level land trading market in the Zuojiang river basin from the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China,showing that the land transaction in the Zuojiang river basin has strong clan color and characteristics of Zhuang nationality.
