By systematically combing the historical changes of Tongji Weir in Sichuan,this paper aims to explore the cul-tural heritage value contained in this project,and proposes a scheme on its protection,inheritance,and revitalization utilization.Tongji Weir was initially built in the middle and late Western Han Dynasty.It reached the peak of governance during the Tang and Song Dynasties,especially the Southern Song Dynasty.It flourished again after the Qing Dynasty.In the development pro-cess over two thousand years,the history of Tongji Weir Project has become an important component of regional history,giving birth to a group of influential literary works around the project,and the advanced technological value it contains is also unique.It demonstrates the superb water management wisdom of ancient Chinese irrigation engineering,providing historical experience and inspiration for sustainable irrigation development.
