Analysis on the Design Aesthetics of Food and Drink Instruments in the Tang Dynasty:Taking the Relics of Hejia Village as an Example
Eating utensils are not only practical objects but also works of art,reflecting the aesthetic fashion of a nation and an era.Based on the social and cultural background of the Tang Dynasty,this paper analyzes the designing aesthetics of eating utensils in Hejia village in terms of material,craft,shape,function,patterns and decoration,and explores the cultural factors that contributed to the emergence and development of these aesthetic expressions,including the interactions among aesthetic produc-tion,regulation,and consumption behaviors with human beings as the core.It also summarizes the aesthetic direction and design concepts of the aristocratic class in the Tang Dynasty.For example,more attention was paid to the expression of individuals and life,the artistry and refinement of life were pursued,and the traditional design innovation in cultural integration was emphasized.The exploration of the role that the material culture played in"mutual learning among civilizations"and"cultural development"would provide a deeper understanding and reference for modern design and cultural dissemination.
