Brief Study on Jiangxi Tea Production Areas and Famous Teas in Local Gazetteers of the Ming and Qing Dynasties
Tea culture is an important component of traditional Chinese culture.During the Ming and Qing dynasties,Jiangxi's tea culture inherited from the Tang and Song dynasties and has been passed down to this day.Based on geographical distribution,it can be divided into Nanchang and surrounding areas,central Jiangxi region,northeastern Jiangxi region,and southern Jiangxi region.The dissemination and development of tea culture is a product of cultural exchange and recognition be-tween regions.The continuous dynamic changes in tea production areas and varieties in Jiangxi during the Ming and Qing dy-nasties reflect the different characteristics of tea culture dissemination and evolution between regions.Combining local gazetteers with tea history research,re-examining and excavating the historical value of local tea culture,can help enrich the understand-ing of Jiangxi tea culture in different periods,provide new perspectives for understanding the dissemination mechanism of tea culture in regional society,and have important practical significance for promoting the inheritance of local culture and the sus-tainable development of the tea industry.
