Folk Music Composition and Rural Cultural Construction in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression:A Focus on the Composition of Yangge Opera in Northern Shaanxi
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression,under the leadership of the Communist Party of Chi-na,the folk music,artistic creation and rural cultural construction in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border region made rapid de-velopment.Remarkable achievements were made,especially in exploring the combination of the people and musical composi-tion,as well as the exchange and integration of folk music and new musical composition.Yangge opera,a folk art form with strong Chinese style and distinctive rural features,was an outstanding representative and successful practice among the perform-ing arts in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border region.To discuss the development process of Yangge opera and summarize its value can not only review the indelible contribution of Yangge opera to the Shanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border region during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression,but also reflect on the importance and feasibility of the current promotion of rural cultural construction through its specific artistic practice.
