A new record of the avian in Nanyang: lesser pied kingfisher ( Ceryle rudis )
Lesser pied kingfisher( Ceryle rudis) was observed in People' s Park of Dengzhou in February 2012. It has been the first recording of the bird as the represent of Lesser Pied Kingfisher in Nanyang. Morphological characterization of the species was taken, and the distribution locations of the specimens were discussed.
