The Shaping of China-ASEAN Regional Value Chain and Challenges
Currently, the United States is intervening in the reconstruction of the Asian regional value chain through geopolitical means, attempting to build a strategic value chain centered on the United States, relying on Japan and South Korea allies and linking ASEAN countries.Essentially,it continues the Ricardian growth model.ASEAN will be a key play-er in shaping the US strategic value chain, replacing China in the US strategic layout. In the context of great powers'compe-tition for the dominance of the value chain, this study believes that the shaping of the China ASEAN regional value chain will ensure China's regional center position under the development path of Chinese path to modernization. It is not only an important measure for China and ASEAN to jointly shape the future and prosperity of Asia, but also a key step for Asia's re-gional economy to break through the barriers of traditional growth models and move towards Schumpeterian growth models in the future.Empirical analysis shows that China and ASEAN have a strong foundation in political and economic cooperation, and the links between China and ASEAN in the development of the Asian regional value chain are becoming increasingly close, promoting the elevation of the status and expansion of influence of the Asian regional value chain. However,it cannot be ignored that a series of challenges such as the restructuring of the global value chain, the construction of the US strategic value chain, and China's transformation and upgrading under the"two-way compression"will also affect the shaping of the future China ASEAN regional value chain. Therefore,China and ASEAN must work closely together to find a development path that aligns with the new generation of regional value chains.Breakthroughs can be achieved through industrial chain links and key technology field cooperation,in order to shape the Schumpeterian growth models of China ASEAN regional value chain cooperation and address common geopolitical challenges. In the field of international relations, translation should meet professional requirements.
