Towards trans-Himalayan Regionalism:A Theoretical Attempt
The countries of the Trans-Himalayan region are close in geographical proximity, kinship, and cultural ties, with frequent political exchanges, active economic trade, and in-depth cultural exchanges.Building Trans-Himalayan regionalism is conducive to enhancing mutual understanding among countries in the region, promoting the alignment of their development strategies, enriching international cooperation, and sharing the fruits of regional development and cooperation.Since 2015,China has initiated and hosted the"Trans-Himalaya Development Forum"and the"Trans-Himalaya Forum For International Cooperation",gradually transforming Trans-Himalayan regionalism from a conceptual advocacy into practical action. However, aside from one Indian scholar who has discussed this concept,no Chinese scholars have yet adopted it,let alone elaborated on it in depth. To bridge the gap between theory and practice,it is necessary to further reflect on Trans-Himalayan regionalism from the perspectives of Comparative Regionalism,"Belt and Road",and the concept of a neighborhood community with a shared future, thus laying the theoretical foundation and methodological approach to building a Trans-Himalayan community with a shared future.
