Accessibility Evaluation on E-government Websites of Chinese Main Cities Based on WCAG 2.0
After reviewing the Web accessibility standards and its＇ evaluation practices, this paper examined the accessibility of 37 Chinese cities＇ government websites based on WCAG 2.0 Level A. The paper applies the examination results to analyze the most prevalent errors among the sites and gives comprehensive evaluation on the sites＇ accessibility. In light of these research findings, this paper offers a number of suggestions to improve the web accessibility.
