The Evolutionary Characteristics of Hot Topics in China's Internet Public Opinion from a Multi-Dimensional Perspective
[Purpose/significance]The analysis of the distribution and evolution characteristics of hot topics in domestic network pub-lic opinion can effectively reveal the trend of hot topics in public opinion,and has certain significance for strengthening the supervi-sion of network public opinion,guiding network public opinion and providing public opinion governance opinions.[Method/process]Crawling and processing the hot search data of Sina Weibo from 2020 to 2022 as the research object,and topic recognition based on LDA model to obtain the hot topics of domestic network public opinion in recent three years;Then the text mining,mathematical statis-tics and visualization methods are integrated to systematically mine and visually analyze the evolution characteristics of hot topics of online public opinion.[Result/conclusion]The research found that from 2020 to 2022,the hot topics of domestic network public opin-ion mainly include seven topics,including family life,emotional relations,social events,sports,entertainment,epidemic prevention and control,and international relations,showing the evolution characteristics of major emergencies driving the generation of hot topics,response to the promotion of topic heat,and the trend of hot topics around the epidemic progress.[Innovation/limitation]This study has certain reference significance for the work of relevant departments in China to strengthen the supervision of online public opinion infor-mation and correctly guide the direction of online public opinion.However,Weibo Hot Search only retains the data of the top 50 daily heat values,which may affect the accuracy of the research results to a certain extent.
