A Study on the Elements and Associated Paths of Health Information Avoidance Behavior in the Elderly from the Perspective of Risk Cognition
[Purpose/significance]Healthy aging has become an inevitable requirement for promoting the Healthy China strategy and actively responding to the national strategy of population aging.Clarifying the main factors that affect the health information avoidance behavior of the elderly, exploring the correlation paths between avoidance emotions and avoidance behavior, can provide a new per-spective for the comprehensive and three-dimensional health management and"aging appropriate"information services of the elderly.[Method/process]The article combines the CAC paradigm and RISP theoretical model to extract the influencing factors of health infor-mation avoidance behavior, and constructs a model for elderly health information avoidance behavior.281 valid data were collected through a questionnaire survey, and the model was empirically analyzed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Model(PLS-SEM)method.[Result/conclusion]The results show that subjective norms of information, information adequacy, relevant chan-nel beliefs are negatively correlated with negative emotions, and positively correlated with positive emotions;Positive emotions are negatively correlated with avoidance behavior in obtaining and absorbing health information, and positively correlated with avoidance behavior in utilizing health information.[Innovation/limitation]This study explains the antecedent factors and associated pathways of elderly health information avoidance behavior from the perspective of risk perception, which has certain guiding significance for im-proving the efficiency of elderly health information management.Future research needs to expand the research sample to make the re-search conclusions more universal.
