Public Information Disclosure Quality Perception Based on Government and Public Dis-course Construction
[Purpose/significance]This study focuses on the characteristics and mechanism of government discourse and public dis-course in the process of information disclosure,in order to reveal how the public perceive information disclosure quality.[Method/pro-cess]Taking vaccine policy as key word,271 transcripts of press conferences and 119 interviews were analyzed by using the multivari-ate research method of corpus and discourse analysis.[Result/conclusion]The narrative framework contains in the government dis-course and the functions of protecting health and restoring normal life contained in the public discourse have merged and separated to some extent under the vaccine related disclosure,thus forming different ways for the public to perceive the quality of information dis-closure.The concrete embodiment of the subjectivity and initiative of the public as a perceiving subject in discourse practice is on the one hand,different cognition of their own body(different interpretation of the same body narrative),and on the other hand,different coping strategies(hesitation or vaccination)based on cognition.[Innovation/limitation]To some extent,this study provides a new theo-retical perspective for the current research on the quality of government information disclosure,highlights the subjectivity and initia-tive of the public as the perceivable subject in the process of government information disclosure,and helps the government to appropri-ately adjust information disclosure and make it better match the public's demands for information disclosure.Future research will ex-pand the data quantity and data source of public discourse,and adopt mixed research methods to conduct a more comprehensive explo-ration of the perception path of the quality of public information disclosure.
