Analysis of Residual Fuel when Vehicle Stalls on High-speed Loop
This article introduces the importance of the fuel tank assembly in vehicle fuel system, which not only stores fuel but also achieves fuel supply and output the remaining fuel volume. When the fuel in the tank runs out,the vehicle will shut down due to insufficient fuel supply. However, when driving on high-speed roads, the fuel may run out before the vehicle shuts down. This is mainly because the large angle between the high-speed road and the ground, and the change in speed can cause insufficient fuel delivery before the fuel runs out.To solve the problem, this article establishes an analytical model that can predict the fuel distribution and remaining mileage in the fuel tank of a vehicle while driving on a high-speed loop.Specifically, this article establishes a force analysis model to analyze the force situation of a solid at static and moving state on an inclined plane, and applies it to the analysis of the force and distribution of a liquid moving on a slope. Finally, this article verifies the accuracy of the analytical model through case analysis and using this model for fuel tank design during the vehicle design phase, which can detect the risk of vehicle shut down at low fuel levels in advance and improve the design, and improve the vehicle safety and reliability by making necessary design modifications.
