Uncertainty Evaluation for Determination of Cadmium,Chromium,Lead,Mercury in Brake Lining by Inductively Coupled Plasma Emission Spectroscopy
The sources of measurement uncertainty of cadmium, chromium, lead, and mercury in brake lining determined by inductively coupled plasma emission spectroscopy(ICP-OES)are analyzed. The entire analytical process studied includes sample weighing, volume adjustment, preparation of standard solutions, replicability measurements, standard curve fitting, etc.,and the uncertainties of each component are calculated, synthesized, and expanded. The results indicate that the main factors affecting uncertainty are the uncertainties introduced by sample replicability measurements and standard curve fitting process.
