Evaluation of Adaptive Cruise Control System Based on Mathematical Statistics Method
Adaptive cruise control(ACC)system is a fundamental function in advanced driver assistance systems(ADAS),and is widely equipped in intelligent and connected vehicles. In order to ensure the safety and reliability of ACC,it should be sufficiently tested and evaluated. To improve the test efficient,a new test method based on mathematical statistics is proposed in this paper, and the method is verified on NIO ES6.Six scenarios, including following the target vehicle to start, recognition of standstill vehicle, recognition of cut-in vehicle, release of cut-out vehicle, approaching low-speed target vehicle, and target vehicle deceleration, are tested. The test data is analyzed using statistical methods, and the results show that the proposed method is feasible and can effectively evaluate the consistency and performance boundary of the ACC system performance.
