Diagnosis and Elimination of Abnormal Sound of a Closed Torsion Beam
In the process of lightweight design of automotive chassis components, closed torsion beams have been more and more widely used.Closed torsion beams reduce product weight and improve product performance at the same time, abnormal noise problems also follow. This paper takes a closed torsion beam as an example, through bench verification and CAE simulation analysis,The source and circumvention of the abnormal sound problem of the closed beam are verified. The results show that the friction direction between the inner and outer layers of the beam is considered in the design to avoid the abnormal sound of the closed beam, such as zero clearance between the inner and outer layers of the beam, and the convex hull at both ends of the beam;In the process, oil injection in the inner cavity of the beam can be considered.
