Early modernization of Qingdao municipal construction——taking the development of tap water as an example
The construction of tap water is an important aspect of modern urban municipal planning and construction towards modernization.Qingdao is one of the cities that established the tap water earlier in modern.The tap water system has promoted the urban planning and construction of Qingdao and the change of social life to a certain extent.But as an imported product of imperialist invasion,the essence of Qingdao's water supply construction during the German leasing period was for the German leasing authorities to maintain their leasing management in Qingdao through technology and seize the maximum benefits in Qingdao.From the perspective of tap water,we can better understand how Western material products have been integrated into modern society with power and technology,thereby deepening our understanding of the complexity and comprehensiveness of social changes in modern China.
